Beginning level for those new to yoga or to the Iyengar method.
Classes introduce beginning students to the fundamentals
of posture and breath. Many students repeat this class once.
For anyone requiring a less strenuous class. Prerequisite: one INTRO course.
to a Healthy Back:
This series is specifically designed for those with back challenges. It is not appropriate for anyone with acute injuries.
For students who have taken at least one session of Intro.
Work will continue on standing poses, basic seated poses,
forward bends, backbends and twists. Inversions will be introduced. Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) will be introduced.
For continuing students who practice shoulderstand with
confidence. Sirsasana (headstand) will be introduced at this level).
For students who are committed to a personal practice; have a clear understanding of how to work with their specific needs, and can move at a faster pace. Students at this level are studying The
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
Private classes are available for individuals and groups.
